A custom, bra-based game controller built to both play and celebrate the launch of Anna Anthropy’s game Duck Duck Poison at an event organized by Babycastles and held at the DIY music and art venue Secret Project Robot in 2012.

‘Duck Duck Poison’ is a four player video game based on the folk game duck duck goose. To win the game is to be the last person standing. Inspired by Anna’s openness in dy4ia, as a trans-woman documenting her experience with hormone replacement therapy, I felt a mostly male audience wearing bras to play her game seemed perfectly subversive. 😉

The ‘controllers’ were made from hacking an off-brand playstation controller and soldering leads and momentary switches to act as the button-nipple players used for gameplay.

This event also celebrated Anna’s book launch for Rise of the Videogame Zinesters, a book that encouraged everyone to go make games and documented low-cost resources to get started.
